The benefits of using RBI Grade 81 include:

• It improves the engineering properties of poor soils as well as enhancing that of good soils to meet specified requirements
• It helps reduce / eliminate the need for existing borrow pit materials (clay) and the prospecting of new borrow pit sources, thereby protecting the environment for future generations
• It eliminates the need for landfill sites for dumping of poor materials (clay) and environmentally harmful materials (bitumen), as well as construction waste.
• It allows faster construction because removal of substandard material and transportation to site of good material is not required, thus assisting projects to come in on time.
